Arthur Henry Moyer Jr. Age 63 was called to rest, Wednesday evening November 11, 2020, Veterans Day. He passed at Mid-Hudson Regional hospital after a long battle with cancer. Born on May 5, 1957 he was the son of the late Virginia Moyer and Arthur Henry Moyer Sr. Arthur worked at J&J Log and lumber in Dover Plains, NY and also Empire Taxi company in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. Arthur was also a member of the Army National Guard. He was a huge Nascar fan especially of Dale Earnhardt Sr. He also was a big fan of animals and enjoyed his family. He enjoyed time with his longtime companion, Sherri Sherow and her family as well. Coloring was a passionate hobby of Arthur. He mostly enjoyed time with his two daughters, Kayla Moyer and Jenny Moyer who survive at home. He is also survived by his sister Maryanne Sorci, Arthur leaves behind a Granddaughter, Abigail Elizabeth and 2 other granddaughters and 2 grandsons. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his sisters Linda Moyer and Kathy Moyer. Also, Arthur loved his cat, Shelby. He touched the hearts of many people and will deeply be missed by all. Services will be held on Saturday November 21, 2020 from 6-7pm at Joseph J. Darrow Sr. Funeral Home, Inc. 39 So. Hamilton Street, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601. (845)452-1840.
