Carol Greddie, 71 of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away on Saturday August 13, 2022, at home with her loving family by her side.  Born on July 18, 1951, in Fayetteville, NC she was the daughter of the late Rebecca Hammer.  She loved cooking, listening to music, reading the Bible and was an avid bingo player, she was passionate about spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  Survivors include her son Harvey Whitted and Milton Whitted; and her grandchildren George Riley, La'Sean Hill, Tyrone Hill, Sheaynia Hill, Kelin Hill, Iasia Hill-Oats and Latavia Hill-Oats, Rajon Morgan, Kiara Morgan, Marquan Newman, Keysha Harvey, Jamall Harvey, Raven Harvey, Shamill Harvey, Shakeema Harvey, Nyesha Whitted and Chaneak Whitted. Besides her mother she was predeceased by her daughter Penny Whitted.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Friday August 19, 2022, from 10am to 11am at Joseph J. Darrow Sr. Funeral Home, Inc, 39 So Hamilton St. Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.  A brief service will be held during the visitation.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital in Carols' Memory.
