Christine Herring, 76 of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away on Sunday August 8, 2021, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY.  Born on July 1, 1945, in Durham, North Carolina she was the daughter of the late Oscar Herring and Louise Herring.  She was married to Leamon Lee Williams who predeceased her. She loved to sew, dance, listen to gospel music, laugh, crack jokes, and share stories.

Survivors include her children; Ann Slater of Charlotte, NC., Patricia Williams (Randy Glenn), Lenny Williams (Linda Hernandez), Christine Smack (Charles Smack), and Ryan Williams (Sha'meka Williams) all of Poughkeepsie, NY; siblings, Betty Ann Lee, Fay Williams, Jerry Herring and David Herring (Tracie Herring) all of Poughkeepsie, NY; grandchildren Shani Slater, Greggory Foster, LeQuame Williams, Sa'Kwan Vandemark, Alennyia Vandemark, Alenniyania Williams, Lenny Williams, Jr., Amari Williams, Demetrius Bermudez, Makai Smack, Jordan Smack, Brandon Smack, Ajeya Davis, Ry'Mir Williams and Anaiya Williams, great-grand son Talib Skinner Jr.,  her mother in law Rev. Frances Williams of Poughkeepsie, NY and a host of nieces and nephews.  Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her siblings, James Earl Herring, Shirley Owens, Blaney Herring and James Oscar Herring, and her grandchild Joshua Reyes.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday August 12, 2021, from 11am to Noon with a going home service to begin at Noon at the Joseph J.
