Darlene Louise Grizzard- Chambers, a 26 year resident of Poughkeepsie, New York went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 17, 2016 in her home surrounded by family. She was 49 years old. Darlene was born July 31, 1966 in Bronx, NY to elder Cynthia Chambers and the late John Chambers. This year would have made her 30th year of employment with the Dept of state. She was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, aunt, sister, cousin, and friend. She was survived by her husband of 27 years Raymond (Ron) Grizzard, daughter Genise Stephens, and son Elijah Grizzard, mother elder Cynthia Chambers, and mother in law Sarah Faircloth. She also left to mourn 4 sisters, 4 brothers, 2 aunts and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The memorial service will be held on Good Friday, March 25, 2016 , 10:00 am , at Holy Light Pentecostal Church 33 S. Clover street Poughkeepsie, NY. Bishop Audrey E Giles, officiating.
