It is with profound sorrow that we announce the unfortunate passing of Darrell Hughes Johnson after a short illness on December 17, 2021. He was born in Poughkeepsie, NY on October 3, 1973 to Johnny Johnson Sr. and Theresa Anderson. Darrell attended Poughkeepsie City School District enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Besides his parents, Darrell leaves behind a son; Darrell Dyquan Kamel Johnson, a grandson expected to be born later this month, brothers; Michael Patterson, Andrew Patterson "Rico Rivera", Kendall Johnson, Alton Johnson, Johnny Johnson Jr all of Poughkeepsie, NY, sisters; Natasha Johnson of Poughkeepsie, NY, Alice Howell Williams of Kingston, NY, Susan Floyd of Flint, MI, Lola Johnson and Isaac Kamau of West Springfield, MA
