David Lee Coleman, 59 of Poughkeepsie, NY went to be with the Lord on May 28, 2017. He was born June 5, 1957 to the late Clarence Burgess and Millie Lorraine Coleman.  He attended the Hudson City School District, and then went on to serve in the U.S Army. He was a member of the Vikings Football Team of Hudson, NY and Holy Light Pentecostal Church. He enjoyed fishing, music, fixing things and being with family. He worked at ARC in Poughkeepsie, NY retiring in 2017.

Survivors include his wife Scarlet, who was his companion for over 30 years, children; Davina Kizra Coleman of Hudson, NY, Ebony Monique Coleman, Yvette Higgs, David Lee Coleman Jr, all of Poughkeepsie, 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, siblings; Lisa Ward and Racheal Reyes of Tampa, FL, Mattie Smith of Atlanta, GA, Loretta Martin and Marie Ashley of Poughkeepsie, Beatrice Bishop and Jackie Jackson of Panama, FL, Willie Coleman of NC, Gloria Burgess and Clarence Burgess of Hudson, NY and a host of nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by siblings; Shirley Coleman, Harry Coleman, Johnny Coleman and Charles Burgess.
