Delores E. Nicholas, 65, of Poughkeepsie, entered into eternal rest on January 21, 2015 at Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital of Westchester Medical Center. She was born in Poughkeepsie, NY to the late Edward C. Nicholas Sr. and Marguerite F. Benson. Delores graduated from Poughkeepsie High School, worked at the Washington Post in Washington, D.C. and the Culinary Institute. She is survived by her daughter; Tammy Matheson, a grandson; Evan Melvin, a brother: Edward C. Jr. Nicholas (Sandra), and sisters; Cheryle Nicholas, and Bonnie Nicholas.

She was predeceased by her parents, two sisters; Lorraine Wright and Mary McMiller.  A Memorial Service will be held, Thursday, January 29, 2015 from 5-6:30PM with a funeral service to follow at 6:30Pm with Pastor Richard P.
