Edward V. Farley Sr, 89 of Poughkeepsie, NY slipped away at home on Saturday August 29, 2015.  He was born on May 30, 1926 to the late Charles and Susan Farley.

Edward was self-employed until his retirement.  He leaves behind four children; Edward V. Farley Jr, Lorraine A. Johnson Farley both of Poughkeepsie, NY; Joseph C. Farley Sr. of Woodstock, GA, and James A. Farley of Hyde Park, NY.  Edward was a lifetime resident of Poughkeepsie, NY.  He also leaves behind his sister Betty Burnett and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Edward was pre-deceased by two brothers Charles and Harold Farley and four sisters Beverly Thorp, Barbara Titus, Dorothy Steward and Joyce McKenna.

Edward was well known for his quick wit and sense of humor rather you wanted to hear it or not.  He loved being around people.  Making people laugh was what he was so great at.  He also enjoyed fishing, feeding his squirrels and going to bingo and watching sports.  He loved a great bowl of Chicken noodle soup too.  Edward didn't like to stay in one place too long always loved to be on the go.  The day of his death he was getting ready for his annual trip to the Dutchess County Fair.  He was loved by so many special people in his life.  He will be sadly missed by all.
