Edward C. Sparks, 89 of Hyde Park, NY passed away peacefully at home with his loving family by his side, on December 3, 2020.  Born on January 4, 1931 he was the son of the late Edson and Bessie Sparks (Coapman). Edward was a graduate of F.D. Roosevelt High School, an Electrician with Local 363, IBEW retiring in 1996.  Edward served in the United States Army, receiving a honorable discharge in 1955. He was a member of the American Legion Post 1466.  He enjoyed people of all walks, and was the neighborhood "Samaritan" mowing lawns, shoveling snow, or whatever needed to be done.  On March 16, 1964 in Sharon Ct, he married Rose Jezsu who survives at home.  Besides his wife he is survived by sons Edward Sparks, Jr (Cynthia), Daniel Jezsu (Stephanie) of Hyde Park, and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his daughter Rosemarie Jezsu, and sisters, Gladys Vannosdoll, and Shirley Loeb.  Per Edward's wishes cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held 11am Saturday December 12, 2020 at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, 1576 Main St Pleasant Valley, NY.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Joseph J.
