Elizabeth Cross Lambos, 89, a former resident  of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away on August 20, 2014 in Rockville Va. Born on April 18, 1925 in Airdire Scotland she was the daughter of the late James Cross and Jeanie Bennet Cross. She was employed by Vassar Hospital, central supply in Poughkeepsie retiring in 1991 at the age of 65. On June 8, 1945 in Coatbridge, Scotland she married Nicholas James Lambos who predeceased her in 2000. Elizabeth enjoyed family gatherings, shopping, dining out, going to plays including Broadway and local shows; she was an avid Yankee fan, loved vacationing in Maine and always enjoyed a good cup of tea with friends. She was also associated with the Friends of Lois for 20 years. Survivors include her daughters Jean Howard and husband James of Rockville, VA. And Stella Ladensack and husband Otto of Staatsburg, NY. 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Besides her husband and parents she was predeceased by her sons; James Nicholas, Nicholas James and Thomas John Lambos; her daughters Elizabeth and Margaret Ann Lambos.
