Elizabeth S. Oakes, 88, a lifelong resident of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away April 25, 2016 at The Pines at Poughkeepsie. She was born in Poughkeepsie, NY on August 13, 1927 to the late Myron and Frances Doyl. In1947, she married Wilson Shultis. Then in 1952 she married Frederick Oakes. Elizabeth was a Control Floor Operator for IBM retiring in 1965 and a member of the Christ Church Episcopal in Poughkeepsie, NY.

Elizabeth is survived by a son; Frank Shultis and wife Patricia of Hopewell Junction, NY, daughters; Deborah Morkunas  and husband Victor of Virginia Beach, VA., Kim J. Haas and husband Gary of Levittown, NY , a brother; Myron Doyl of MA, several grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother; Robert Doyl.
