Elizabeth Plass, 87 of Hyde Park, NY passed away Thursday November 12, 2015 at home with her loving family by her side.  She was born on March 13, 1928 in Poughkeepsie, NY to the late Steven Empert and Elizabeth Lewis.  On September 4, 1946 she married the love of her life, George A. Plass, who predeceased her in 2006.  She worked for Vassar College for 43 years.

She is survived by her daughter Stephanie M. Ellis and husband Billy of Hyde Park; sister Josephine Cassano; brother Richard Empert and wife Nancy; grand children, Missy Courier and Billy Gorman, Aaron Plass, Wayne Ellis, Haley Millard, David Plass and Chrissy Plass; 7 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband she was predeceased by her son George A. Plass, Jr., daughter Sharon M. Gorman; sister Mary Anne and brothers Steve and Tony.
