Ellen Diggs, age 70, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2026, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, New York. Ellen was born on Dec 24, 1955, in Far Rockaway, New York, to parents Norman and Edna Diggs. She graduated from Lawrence High School in Cedarhurst, New York in 1974. She moved to the Hudson Valley region in 1974 and was a proud resident of Poughkeepsie New York. Ellen is survived by her son Daniel, sister Norma, brother Jay (Charlene), nephew Donnie and his two children Dontel and Alexis, many cousins, and lifelong friends Anne, Debbie, Ron and Veronica. She was an outgoing active person who enjoyed gardening, sitting by the river, not letting her limitations affect her many activities. She was well known on the local bus routes due to her interests in various locations throughout the county. Visitation will be held on Sunday April 5, 2026, from 1pm to 3pm at the Joseph J.
