Ellen Lanni, 92, a resident of Hyde Park, NY since 1952 passed away on, August 10, 2015 at Renaissance Rehab and Nursing Center. She was born in Poughkeepsie, NY on March 29, 1923 to the late Robert and Ellen Young. On July 15, 1968 in St. Mary's Church of Poughkeepsie, Ellen married Ralph Lanni who predeceased her April 3, 2000.

Ellen worked in the Hyde Park Central School Districts cafeterias and at St Francis Hospital in the kitchen before retiring n 1985. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Ellen enjoyed reading and playing bingo.

She is survived by her son; Michael Staffa of Poughkeepsie, NY, a daughter; Marie Amoroso of Hyde Park, NY, 2 grandsons; Bruce Richmond and wife Kelly of New Paltz, NY., Nicholas Amoroso of Hyde Park, NY, a granddaughter; Jessica Staffa of Poughkeepsie, NY., 2 great-grand daughters; Ava Lynn Richmond of New Paltz, NY and Vanessa Antonia Soto of Poughkeepsie, NY, a niece; Dianne Panessa of Red Hook, NY, and several nieces and nephews.
