On Wednesday, December 28th 2022, Emma Lee Bailor died in Poughkeepsie, NY of ongoing medical issues. She was 22 months old.

Emma is survived by her parents Jason and Samantha Bailor of Poughkeepsie, NY; her sister Ava Bailor of Poughkeepsie, NY; her grandparents Douglas and Carol Bailor of Wurtsboro, NY; her uncle Christopher Mayville and his wife Jennifer Mayville of Millerton, NY; her uncle Robert Bailor and his wife Deborah Bailor of Weston, CT; and her aunt Renee Haubner and her husband Michael Haubner of Hillsdale, NJ; she is survived by four cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Gary and Sonia Mayville.

Emma was born on February 21st, 2021 in Poughkeepsie, NY at Vassar Hospital. Two days after her birth, 24 hours after coming home from the hospital, she stopped breathing and her heart stopped beating for a period of 30 minutes, resulting in a major traumatic brain injury after being resuscitated. She spent a total of six weeks in the NICU at Westchester Medical Center, being placed on a ventilator, then spending another six months at Blythdale Children's Hospital. She then came home on October 26th, 2021 to live with her family. She then fought and lived her best life with her loving family until her passing.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 6th from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at Joseph J Darrow Funeral Home, 39 S Hamilton St, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601. It will be immediately followed by a graveside burial ceremony at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, 342 South Ave, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
