Florence Reese, 88 a resident of Poughkeepsie, NY for more than 50 years passed away peacefully on November 28, 2017. She was born August 18, 1929 in Tivoli, NY to the late Nicholas Reese and Lillian Handel. Florence attended St. Joseph's School for the Deaf in Bronx, NY. She was employed by Good Beacon Handbag Co. and Sal Abbate Handbags of Poughkeepsie, NY. She was a member of Mid-Hudson Valley Club of the Deaf in Poughkeepsie and the Hudson Valley Catholic Deaf Center. She is of the Catholic Faith, known to be an avid sewer, quiet, and humble person.

Florence is survived by her beloved daughter; Lisa Reese-Reilly and her beloved American Bulldog Tabitha.

She is pre-deceased by a son-in-law; Michael Reilly, and many of the 13 siblings she had.

Visitation is Monday, December 4, 2-6pm at Joseph J. Darrow Sr. Funeral Home, 39 S. Hamilton St, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601. 845-452-1840. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, December 5, 10am at St. Mary's Church, 231 Church Street, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601 with Father Perez officiating.
