Geraldine "Geri" Cuomo, 82, a lifetime Poughkeepsie resident, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on July 5, 1934 with her twin brother Gerald (pre-deceased 2008) to James Hawley and Lydia May Crusious.

Geri worked in public service throughout her life and waited on many tables in various diners throughout the area. She was an avid bingo player, bowler, loved country music and her little dog, Roxie. With her feisty personality, she fostered many friendships and will always be admired for her ability to "tell it like it is". She is survived by her sister; Dolores Lord (Andy) of Kingston, NY, daughters; Margaret "Maggie" Cuomo and Janice Cuomo both of Poughkeepsie, Augusta Rose (Scott) of N.C., and Agnes "Aggie" Burnett (Gary) of Rhinebeck, NY, sons; Donald Cuomo (Judy) of Hyde Park, NY, Anthony Cuomo Sr. (Carol) of Highland, NY, Benjamin Prinzivalli of Poughkeepsie, and Perry Cuomo of N. C. As the matriarch of this 5 generation family, she created more than 30 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and her newest great great granddaughters; Nayomi "Poopie" Bowers, Zaryiah Harris, Maddison Cuomo and Natalia Agustin, and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her husband Sylvester "Beaver" Cuomo Sr., sons; Edward Cuomo and Sylvester "Beaver" Cuomo Jr., and special grandchildren; Anthony Cuomo Jr., Charles " Big Nic" Cuomo, Ashley Nicole Cuomo and Madison Plain.
