Glenn Derek Hinton, 57, our beloved father, grandfather, uncle, cousin and "Mechanic" went to be home on January 5, 2016, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY.  Glenn received his education from Poughkeepsie High School.

He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Ondina OT Hinton formally from the Bronx, NY; a son Derick A. Hinton, a daughter; Ondina M. Hinton and a grandson; King A. Mayz all residing in Poughkeepsie, NY; Glenn also leaves behind six sisters, Connie Turner, Regina Watts of Poughkeepsie, NY, Carol Hinton of New Paltz, NY, Ellen Miller and her husband Kevin of Gardiner, NY, Karen Hinton of Poughkeepsie, NY, Doreen Bunn and her husband Anthony of Poughkeepsie, NY; he also leaves behind three brothers; Brion R. Hinton and his wife Sandra of New Paltz, NY, Horace "Michael" Hinton of Newburgh, NY, and Ira Hinton of Beacon, NY.  One thing that Glenn had was a host of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews, out of which he had no favorites.  He had his own way of making each and every one of us feel special in his own way.  He is also survived by sister in-laws, brother in-laws, and special friends; Freddy, Rob and Chris.

Glenn was predeceased by his mother; Anna Mae Twyman Johnson, father; Horace Edward Hinton, three brothers; Terry Hinton, Horace E. Hinton Jr. and Steven Hinton.
