Gloria Mae McClinton Lawrence, 88, of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away at Vassar Brothers Medical Center on October 29, 2018. She was born April 10, 1930 in Carthage, NC to the late Bishop George Washington McClinton and Delma Walker.  Gloria married Thomas Lawrence in Poughkeepsie, NY who predeceased her in 1991. She worked at Allstate Homecare in Poughkeepsie for over 20 years before retiring in 2007. Gloria was a member of the Daughters of Sarah and a parishioner of Faith Church of God.

Survivors include her children; Scarlet Coleman, Leonard Lawrence. Gerald Lawrence, Randall Lawrence, a goddaughter; Leonora Derello- Mima, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great grandchildren, a and a sister; Maxine Ritter. Besides Gloria's parents and husband she was predeceased by a brother; Robert McClinton, sisters; Lenora McClinton and Verniliar McClinton Robert.

Viewing will be 10-11am on November 5, 2018 at Christ Episcopal Church, 20 Carroll St, Poughkeepsie, NY, 12601 with a service beginning at 11am.
