Gloria M. Velie, a lifelong resident of Poughkeepsie and Hyde Pak passed away June 10, 2017. Born on April 27, 1928 in Poughkeepsie she was the daughter of Charles P. Chapman and Gladys M. VanVoorhis. Survivors include a son; Eric J. Velie of Hyde Park, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her 4 children; Howard L. Velie, Bruce Velie, Brian C. Velie, and Lynette A. Paonessa, 2 sisters; Joan Lang and Shirley Silvernail.  There are no calling hours, cremation has taken place, and burial will be at the convenience of the family.
