James D. Holman "Baby Pop", 56 of Poughkeepsie, NY died at home on December 11, 2020.  James was born March 9, 1964 in Poughkeepsie, NY to the late Donald Holman Sr. and Jean Marie Whitted. James received his education in Dutchess County and was employed by several jobs, one included Roods Nursery in Poughkeepsie.  He enjoyed being with his family and friends and having cook outs, going fishing and playing spades.

James left to cherish his memory his companion, Tori and her three sons, Jeremiah, Trey Gabriel, Elijah and Torvella Pitts.  Children; Tanika Holman, Shaquanna Sanders , Love Angele Johnson, Donita Holman, Natisha Hughes, Shatiera Johnson , Shonda Slater, Shalondarene Nico Holman ,Shanna Holman , Jaheem Slater, James Holman Jr. and Terrell Holman; sisters; Rev. Donna Dancy, Terri Holman and Mary Holman; brothers; David "Dawud" Holman, Donald "Chill" Holman, Michael "Woody" Holman, Wendell Whitted Jr, and Derek "Daru" Holman and a very special friend (Brother) Robert Harrell. He is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, grandchildren, two great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his stepfather Wendell Whitted Sr.
