James W. Mallory was born on May 17, 1955 in Poughkeepsie, NY to Kenneth and Lucille Mallory.  He left this earth on September 30, 2025.  He was preceded by three brothers, Russell, Kenneth and David Mallory and three sisters Barbara Robinson, Janet Mallory and Gloria Mallory.  He is survived by his sister Darlene Mallory of Hyde Park, NY.  James loved fishing, photography, tennis, hunting and hiking.  He retired from Marist University after 22 years and Halfway house in Newburgh, NY. after 13 years.  He enjoyed spending time with his great niece and nephew, Adriana and Jordan.  He was a loving uncle to several nieces and nephews.  James was like a second dad to his niece and nephew Maya and Duane Mallory.   He was good friends with Solia, his tennis partner.  He was loved by family and friends and will be dearly missed.  A memorial service will be held at the Hampton Inn & Suites 2361 South Road, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601 on Thursday October 16, 2025, at 11am.  Sympathy cards can be sent to Darlene Mallory at 138 East Dorsey Lane, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Joseph J.
