Jaonta S Scarlett of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away unexpectedly on October 8, 2024 at the age of 36. She was born on May 6, 1988 in Bronx, NY. Jaonta is survived/outlived by her mother, father, sister's and brother's.

She was a member or Ebenezer Baptist Church as a child. Jaonta went on to get her GED, and any job that she ever had she was loved and respected. Everything she has ever put to her mind she has exceeded. Up until the end Jaonta maintained her kindness, compassion, and love for her family and friends. Jay was the life of every gathering, cherished by everyone she met. She was selfless, always giving and kind, making her someone you could confide in about anything. Her laughter was infectious, her smile radiant, and her soul pure. She had a passion for food, a love for travel, and a genuine desire to help others. Jay was the coolest, most down-to-earth person you could ever meet. Her genuine nature made everyone feel at ease around her. Any job that she ever had she was loved and respected.

One of her true sayings was "Don't die in the problem, live in the solution"

Jaonta is survived/outlived by her father Alonzo Dixon of Poughkeepsie NY, her mother Lissa A. Scarlett of Monticello NY sister's Shakiyla (Kiki) Dixon, Angela Mayo, Letisha Dixon, Deleithia Pope  and brother's Antwan Mayo, Urijah Johnson, Romero Darby. Aunts Vanessa Scarlett, Veronica Dixon, Anterlitta Dixon, Uncle Alex Dixon,  Cousins  Conchetta Keith, Tionna Scarlett, Daquan Scarlett, Christopher Davis , Jeffrey Scarlett, Willie Powell, Nailaheshe Dixon, Lovita Albritton, Quevas Lewis. Very special friends, Senghor,Gigi and Rose.
