Jean Olivo, 97, was escorted by Angels to the Lord at dawn on April 16, 2018 in the most peaceful of passings. She was born Christmas Eve, 1920 to Clelia and Peter DiStasio. On September 10, 1949, Jean married Luman J. Olivo. They lived in Dutchess County until his passing in 2003. She then moved to Culinarian's Home in New Paltz to be close to her daughter, where her days were filled with companionship, compassion and the love of her family and new friends.
Jean had two passions in life; her devotion to the Lord Jesus Christ and her piano. She was a gifted virtuoso, and could bring tears to your eyes with her eloquent delivery of Classical Music. She played for family up until two weeks before God took her home. Her music and love will live in our hearts forever.
She is survived by her daughter Debra and her husband, Mark Raphael, granddaughter Estela, grandson Lee and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she is predeceased by her sisters, Lena Cota and Flora Puzzulli.
