Jerry Herring, 71, of Poughkeepsie, NY, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2026, at Fishkill Rehabilitation

Center in Fishkill, NY. Born on October 7, 1954, in Fayetteville, North Carolina, he was the son of the late

Oscar and Louise Herring.

Jerry deeply cherished spending time with his children and took great pride in his 37-year career with

Coach USA. He was also an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, faithfully supporting his team throughout his life.

He is survived by his children: Skye Herring (TN), Trey Herring (NY), Jade Herring (NC), Raheem Pittman

(NY), and Terry Herring (AL). He is also survived by his siblings: Fay Williams, Betty Ann Lee, and David

Herring, all of Poughkeepsie, NY; several grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was predeceased by his siblings James Earl Herring, Shirley Owens,

Blaney Herring, James Oscar Herring, and Christine Herring.

The family extends a heartfelt “Thank You” to the staff of Fishkill Rehabilitation Center for the

compassionate care they provided during his time there.

In keeping with Jerry’s wishes, there will be no memorial services.
