SHE SLEEPS

The Garland family mourns the transition of their beloved Juanita Garland

Juanita Garland departed this life peacefully on Friday January 13, 2023. She was born on February 2, 1965, in Bronx, NY at Jacobi Hospital to Stanley Lorenzo Garland Sr. and the late Lillie Mae Garland.

She had a loving childhood and was educated in the Bronx School District. Completing high school at Harry S. Truman. Juanita was a portrait of love to her family, and she left and impact on all that knew her. She had a great love for music, Arts & crafts, and classic movies.

She leaves to cherish her memory her father Stanley Garland Sr., one brother Stanley Garland Jr., three nieces: Alyssa Lewis, Atlanta, GA, Vivian Garland, Portage, Indiana, and Nicole Kristina Antione (Vladimir), Milwaukee Wisconsin and a host of cousins and friends.

We will all continue to remember this family in our prayers as they mourn the transition of their beloved daughter, sister, and aunt. Her life will be forever cherished. Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal.

Visitation will be held on January 19, 2023, from 11:30am to 12:30pm at Beth-El Church of God In Christ, 91 Hooker Ave. Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.  Homegoing Services begin at 12:30pm with Superintendent Dwight Hunt Officiating. Burial to follow at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
