Kamal Rashid Wardlaw-Young, 31 of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away at home unexpectedly on January 2, 2023.  Born on May 30, 1991, in Poughkeepsie, NY he was the son of Kenneth Wardlaw and Margaret Craft Young.   Kamal attended the Poughkeepsie School System.  He enjoyed spending time with family, reading, art and playing video games.  Besides his parents he is survived by his daughter D'Angelie Cotto; sisters Tara Twyman, Kentasia Wardlaw; brother Davian Wardlaw; nephews Keane Curtis and Isaiah Twyman, material grandmother Peggy Russell and girlfriend Tasha Dixon.  He was predeceased by his grandfather's Herbert Craft and Bob Russell..

A Memorial gathering will take place on Monday January 9, 2023, from 6pm to 8pm at the Joseph J. Darrow Sr., Funeral Home, Inc. 39 So. Hamilton Street, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601 (845)452-1840.  Services will be held during that time.  Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
