Katherine L. Green, 67, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 25, 2016. She was a lifelong resident of Poughkeepsie, NY. She was born December 28, 1948 to the late Charles W. Green Sr. and the late Gladys B. Green at Vassar Brothers Hospital, Poughkeepsie,  NY.

Katherine received her education on the City of Poughkeepsie School District. She was employed as a personal care aid at Westchester Regional Hospital, formally St. Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie, NY for 12 years, and then as a home health aid for Anytime Home Care until she retired in 2012.

"Kat", as we all knew and called her, will be remembered for her lively spirit and real down to earth personality.

Katherine leaves to cherish fond memories her three precious children whom she loved dearly. Two daughters; Wilhemina Green and Johnita Green, and one son; Johnathan Green (fiancé-Kajsia)  all of Poughkeepsie, NY. She also leaves a special niece; Nigeria Green of Poughkeepsie, NY. From theses three children came seven beautiful grandchildren; Jarquez Dancy, Onteria Williams, Markel Green, Sanjay Ruparelia, Sharrief Cherry, Johnaysia Green, and Eilaysia Green, five great-grands; Jayden Dancy, Onesty Allen, Jarquez Dancy Jr., William Moon III and Kylie Dancy. She also leaves to cherish her memory her two sisters; Denise Green and Bertha Green, and one brother; Preston Green, one aunt; Betsy Mae Whitaker, two uncles; Richard Lawrence and David Lawrence, the love of her life, her dog; Miss Kitty, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Katherine was pre-deceased by her parents Charles Sr. and Gladys Green, one sister; Anna Green, two brothers; Charles W. Green Jr. and Baron Green, two nieces; Shanita Green and Shaqueen Ward, and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
