On Thursday, February 8, 2018 Latasia Sharena Nelson, 21, of Clinton Corners, NY began her departure from this life. Latasia was better known as "LALA", TASIA, and CHINA DOLL. She was born on May 23, 1996 at Vassar Hospital to Michelle Brown and Anthony Nelson. She graduated from Millbrook High School in 2015, received her CNA from Boces of Poughkeepsie the same year. In 2016-2017, Latasia attended Rochester Community College studying Radiology.   Her first employment was at McDonalds in Pleasant Valley, NY; Stewarts of Clinton Corners, NY and the GAP warehouse in Fishkill, NY.   Latasia leaves to cherish her memories; a loving mother Michelle Brown Paul, stepfather Kwesi Paul, one little brother, Kwesi Paul (Junior), two sisters; Ni'lma Naomi Nelson and Savannah Nelson, most of all Precious Nelson (her cat). Other survivors include; a grandmother Sadie McClean, aunt Pauline McLean Peck and two cousins Sean and Serena of England, aunt Beverly Brown of poughkeepsie, aunt Amina and Lorie Brown of Pittsfield, MA., uncles; Anthony and wife Maggie brown, Reggie Brown Karif of Pittsfield, MA cousins; Shakira Freeman , Lawrence Brown , Justin Legister and wife Tamara, Juelz and Tamia Ledgister of Poughkeepsie, Chelsea Brown, Jasmine Brown, Daria Brown, Zachary Brown , Anthony Reinhold, Eric Reinhold, Faith Sawyer and Taras Jefferson Jr.all of Pittsfield, MA, godmother's; Michelle Bachelor and Havohe Atkinson, god brothers; Devon Jackson and Stefan Jackson, god sister; Angel Atkinson and Zyann and siblings all of Poughkeepsie. In law on step dad's side; Angela Wakefield grandmother, uncles; Michael and Freeston Paul cousins; Shekaisha ,Freeston Jr ,Mikel, Nate'lia Nasir, and Devonte Paul all of Kingston NY. Special friends Heather Reinhold of Pittsfield, MA and Gloria Johnson and Jahdee of Shandaken, NY uncles; Curtis of Poughkeepsie and Dewight of Poughkeepsie. Best friends she holds dear to her heart; Tralee Harrison of Pittsfield, MA and Shawna Mj Healy of Catskill, NY.   Latasia is preceded by her father; Anthony Caswell Nelson, grandmother; Ernestine Brown, grandfather; Roy Brown, and grandfather; Edgerton McLean.
