Martha Lee Pitcher, affectionally known as Ma, 95, died unexpectedly on November 25, 2018 in Atlanta, Georgia.
Martha was born December 24, 1922 to Harvey and Beatrice Hancock in Charlotte Court House, Virginia. She was married to the late Wilmore Pitcher for 57 years.
Martha was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and s he devoted her life to teaching the Bible. She was an avid reader, wonderful cook and a talented seamstress.
In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by her son Wilmore Glenn Pitcher, 3 sisters Lila, Helen, Beatrice, 1 brother Leroy, and 1 grandson Aaron Pitcher. Surviving are 10 children Dora Lee Hannah, Martha Lorraine Johnson, Dolores McPhee, Christine Smoot (Michael), Elizabeth Brumfield (Richard), Gail Lewis, James Pitcher (Sheila), Lawrence Pitcher (Sandra), Betty Cooper (Kevin), Gregory Pitcher, a brother, Stanley Hancock (Flora), a sister, Leola Miller (Noel), 21 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018, 2PM, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 76 Daley Road, Poughkeepsie, New York.
