Martha Leola McClinton (Turner), 86 of Poughkeepsie, NY departed this life on January 20, 2020 at the Pines at Poughkeepsie with her loving sisters by her side. Born in Poughkeepsie on October 7, 1933 she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George and Lillian Turner Sr.  She was taught Christian Values at an early age and obtained her education through the public schools in Poughkeepsie.  She was married to the late Charles Benson McClinton.

Martha (Linky) was quite the homebody-type and enjoyed time with family and friends.  She was a long time resident of Poughkeepsie and retired from Vassar College on July 17, 1996.  She was a hard worker and dedicated employee.  Her hobbies were sewing, bingo and she was an amazing seamstress.

Those remaining to cherish her life are her devoted sons; Charles McClinton Jr. and John MaCall, sisters; Susie A. Turner and Mary A Souser, a niece; LaConia Turner and close friends Anna Parry, Lenny Bishop and Andrea Sheldon. Also a host of nieces, nephews, grand children and cousins.  She was predeceased by one daughter; Lucretta Ann McClinton, sisters; Rebecca M. Hinton and Tessie Turner, a brother; George Jr., and two brothers and two sisters of Suffolk Virginia.
