Melissa Ann Goebel-Rhodes, 46 of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away on September 16, 2026, at home. Born on July 3, 1980, in Cold Springs N.Y, she was the daughter of Vivian Goebel. She preferred to be called Miss or Missy. Missy moved to Hyde Park N.Y and attended Franklin D. Roosevelt High School. She later received a degree in cosmetology and moved to Poughkeepsie where she met and married her husband Michael Rhodes in 2006. Missy loved and cared deeply for all her family and friends She cared deeply for her mother and constantly thought of her children and grandchildren whom she loved till no end. Missy loved all animals and would have all kinds of fury friends following her home. Missy remembers a war vet dog she had when she was young who provided her love and protection whom she never forgot since he was her friend in times of need. Missy had a certain kind of personality you don’t find often, was extremely friendly, loyal, outgoing, civic, and spunky. Missy was well respected on the streets and was known for always being helpful and to pick up trash in vacant areas and parking lots. She had pride in her community everyone knew Missy and Missy knew everyone Missy loved everyone and everyone loved Missy. She will be forever missed by all the lives her soul touched. She is survived by her Fiancé William Lundell and her children, Jason Gallagher, Olivia Goebel, Skyler Smith, Jazlynn Rhodes, Breonna Rhodes, 7 beautiful grandchildren, 3 aunts and 3 uncles and their spouses and many cousins She is predeceased by her loving mother Vivian Goebel, her loving grandfather William A. Goebel Sr., her son Jayden who died at birth and her fiancé father Eric Lundell who adored her greatly. There are no services planned at this time. Arrangements have been entrusted to Joseph J.
