Michael J. Lucas, 73, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2015. He was born on January 13, 1942 in Poughkeepsie, NY.

Mike was employed as a Psychiatric Aide at Hudson River Psychiatric Center for 30 years prior to relocating to Florida when he retired in 1998. He became a Certified Nursing Assistant and worked at nursing homes and home health agencies during his 17 years in Port Charlotte.

He is survived by his wife, Carol of 44 years; his son Michael L. Lucas II of Hyde Park, his daughter; Theresa M. Lucas of Port Charlotte and a much loved extended family of friends, including 12 awesome grandchildren. He was well loved by all who met him and will be greatly missed. Mike loved his career of taking care of others and traveling the world with Carol.
