Nirva Bermudez, 87, of Staatsburg, NY passed away on January 31, 2018 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. She was born April 23, 1930 in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico to the late Pedro and Ernestina Lucieno Pozo.  In 1949 she married Juan Bermudez, who predeceased her in 1997. She worked at Columbian Presbyterian Medical Center for 35 years, before retiring in 1995. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially lakes and beaches, and loved spending time with her family.

Nirva is survived by her daughter; Lourdes Torres Rodriguez, siblings; Mirta Pozo, Miriam Pozo, Coqui Socorro-Zayas and Angel Luis Pozo, grandchildren; Ariel and Frances Rodriguez, Wilfredo and Nylvelise Torres and Edwin and Jose Rodriguez, great-grandchildren; Ariel, Luciano, Persephonie and Roggerio Rodriguez and Noah Maiello, granddaughter-in-law Tiffany Rodriguez and son-in-law Jose Rodriguez.

She is pre-deceased by her husband, son; Peter Bermudez, Sister; Gloria and brother; Pedro.
