Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Pauline L Cotter, announces her passing peacefully, after a long illness on Wednesday, September 26, 2018. Pauline was born in Flokstone, England to the late Margaret and Frederick Oremeck.

As a young professional, prior to moving to the United States, Pauline worked as a Psychiatric Nurse. Upon moving to New York, Pauline became a supervisor and caretaker of children with special needs for 33 years. This commitment which she considered to be an honor was not for the faint of heart. Pauline loved children with an immense passion and dedicated her life to ensuring the safety and comfort of the children's lives she touched.

In her past time Pauline loved caring for animals, enjoyed gardening and was an avid golfer.

Pauline was gentle yet firm and illustrated a tenacious attitude and spirit in which one could be inspired and humbled by.

Pauline is survived by her dedicated and devoted friend a sister, Cynthia B Mayfield-White for over 34 years her loving Godson Basil L White II, Georgina Buckley (George), Jean Fronczyk, Janet Tucker (Steve) and Glen Oremeck (Rachel), the loves of her life Giavanna and Londyn White, her extended family, Mark Pegg (Deborah), Kirk Pegg (Yandi), and Susan Mayfield; several nieces, nephews and close friends. She is predeceased by sisters Peggy Kitchen (Derrick) and Tricia Bailey (Cliff).

A special thanks to Dr. Heidi Godoy, the Dyson Center Radiology and Infusion Staff, her social worker Paula Martinelli and Hudson Valley Hospice; especially Debra Hayes, Kristen Killian, and Thomas (last name).

A memorial service will be held to celebrate Pauline's life on Wednesday October 3, 2018, 10:30am -12:30pm, at Joseph J. Darrow Sr. Funeral Home, 39 S. Hamilton St., Poughkeepsie, NY 12601. 845-452-1840. In honor of Pauline and the light she cast on all of our lives, wear something brightly colored and vibrant just like her warm spirit.
