Peter Cwik a lifelong resident of the city of Poughkeepsie passed away on April 28, 2022, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. Mr Cwik was born on November 16, 1964, at St. Francis Hospital to the late Theodore J. and Patricia (Burgin) Cwik

Peter was fondly called "Petey" and "PTO" and could often be seen walking throughout his neighborhood and hopping the bus uptown to Main Street.  Along with odd jobs for the neighbors Pete was also a long-time newspaper carrier for the Poughkeepsie Journal. For many years he was a member of the Shamrock Club in Poughkeepsie following a long tradition of his mother, her brothers and sisters, who were among the earliest members of the association.

Peter is survived by his brother Theodore J. Cwik Jr. of Rhinebeck, NY and uncle Mark Ricco as well as numerous cousins, friends and the caregivers at River Valley Nursing Home where he resided since 2018.  Besides his parents he was predeceased by his infant brother John and multiple aunts, uncles, and cousins.
