Richard D. Stroman Sr., 81, a lifelong resident of Dutchess County, passed away on Dec. 24, 2017. He was the son of the late William and Serena Epps-Stroman. As a retiree from Hudson River Psychiatric Center, he spent most his time in labor of love preaching and teaching of Jehovah God's Kingdom. He was a long faithful member of Jehovah's Witnesses at

the Arlington/Poughkeepsie Congregation . He was loved by many of his physical and spiritual

family and will surely be missed.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Gladys Penfield Stroman of Poughkeepsie, NY, children; Richard D. Stroman Jr. of New Port Richey, FL, Darrel Stroman and Christine Stroman of Poughkeepsie, NY., 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by five brothers; William Jr, Harvey, Charlie, John and Albert, and five sisters; Marie, Louise, Edna, Lilly and Agnes.

Memorial services will be held on January 27, 2018 at 4:00pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at 30 Manchester Circle, Poughkeepsie, NY. Arrangements have been entrusted to Joseph J.
