Richard "Ricky" West, born October 18, 1952 in Poughkeepsie, NY entered into eternal rest on March 4, 2018 at Vassar Brothers Hospital. He was a lifelong resident of Poughkeepsie and a Veteran of the Marine Corps.

He is survived by his wife Linda West; daughters Melissa Johnson, Natasha  Johnson(Tony) and Sabrina West; sons Richard Herring of Newburgh and Shawn West of Middletown; sisters Linda  Brock (Larry), Judith Woody, Janice West, Marguerite Jennings (Mellard), Anna Cherry (Marc) and Barbara West; brother Raymond  West (Jalyna); 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; aunts Linda Boone and Ruth Jones; uncle Gary Duncan, his best friend John Coleman Sr., and a host of nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his parents, Clarence and Patricia West; Brother Clarence West III and his grandson John Coleman Jr.

Calling hour will be Friday March 9, 2018 from 10-11am with a Funeral Service at 11am at Joseph J. Darrow Sr. Funeral Home. 39 S.
