Roosevelt Williams Jr. 64 also known as "Mumpsy" of Poughkeepsie, NY transitioned from this life on May 27, 2022, at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, after a long illness.  Roosevelt was born on October 21, 1957, in Poughkeepsie, NY to the late Roosevelt Sr., and Effie Miller Williams.  He worked as a construction laborer for the Local 1000 Union.  He was not a man of many words but of standards and if you knew him you knew this.  He leaves to mourn his beloved wife Monica  his sisters Lorraine Garland of Newburgh, NY, BettyWilliams of Poughkeepsie, NY, his brother Mario Williams of Poughkeepsie, NY, one daughter Ciara Carter,  3 grandchildren Zalair, Skylar and Delilah all of Poughkeepsie, NY as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends.  Besides his parents he was predeceased by his oldest sister Rosalind Williams and oldest brother Kirk Williams both of Ft. Lauderdale Florida.

Visitation will be held on Saturday June 4, 2022, from 10am to 11am at the Joseph J. Darrow Sr. Funeral Home Inc, 39 So. Hamilton Street, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
