Rose Ann Gordon, 60, entered into eternal rest on November 5, 2014. She was born in GA to the late Charlie and Irene Wimberly. Rose moved to Poughkeepsie, NY at an early age where she attended Poughkeepsie city schools.   She was married to John Gordon on December 1977 in Poughkeepsie, NY.

Rose was employed at VBMC, HRPC, the Mediation Center of Dutchess Co, and Abilities First for many years. Rose enjoyed traveling, cooking, baking, and will always be remembered for her delicious desserts.

Ms. Gordon was predeceased by a son; Torrey Cruickshank, 2 brothers; Charlie Jr. and Michael Wimberly, 2 nephews; Chris Cosby and Charles Wimberly. She leaves to cherish her memory; a sister; Donna White, a brother; Square Rouse of Macon, GA, 2 daughters; Michelle Williams and Stacia Gordon, a son; Jon Michael Gordon, 3 grandchildren; Sharief Smart, Davon, and Stefan Jackson, special friends Kerima Brown, Teri Johnson, Brenda Fryar, Cassandra Clarke, and Lorin Montgomery, 1 uncle; Willis Wimberly and wife Wanetha of Macon, GA, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Memorial Service will be held, Friday November 14, 2014, 1-3PM at the Ebenezer Baptist Church 15 Smith St Poughkeepsie, NY with Reverend Herman Shannon officiating.
