Samuel Earl Stump, known as “Sam” of Poughkeepsie, New York, passed away on October 5, 2026. Born in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, he was proud of his roots and the life he built. Sam was a hardworking businessman who enjoyed successful ventures throughout his life. He also loves the outdoors, especially fishing from his boat. Sam was predeceased by his father, Samuel Granville Stump; his mother, Stella Fenstemaker; his stepfather, Ray Fenstemaker; and his brothers, Richard and Stanley. He is survived by his partner of 33 years, Barbara St. Germain; his sons, Samuel, Erik, Tim, Jason and daughter, Jessica; and his many grandchildren, sisters, Patricia Pritchard and Judy Kershner. Sam will be remembered for his strong work ethic, love of family, pride in his Pennsylvania roots, and passion for fishing. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
