Susan Lynn Burkhardt, 60 of Hyde Park, NY passed away on Thursday August 6, 2026 at the Hudson Valley Hospice House in Hyde Park, NY, with her loving family by her side. Born in Poughkeepsie, NY on May 5, 1966, she was the daughter of the late Theron Gilmore and Lillian Geer Gilmore. Susan attended Hyde Park Schools. She was a bus driver for the Hyde Park Central School district for many years. Susan loved to read books and spend time with her children. She married Chris Burkhardt who survives at home. Besides her husband she leaves to cherish her memory sons Tyler and Matt Burkhardt; sisters Joyce Gilmore of Hyde Park, Jean VanTassell (Dave) of Hyde Park, NY and Sally Woods (Scott) of North Carolina and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
