Teresa Williams 60 of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away peacefully on Friday December 24, 2021 with her loving family by her side.

I was born January 14, 1961 on my mom's birthday to the late David S. Roberts and Marcia E. Hill-Roberts who survives at home. After graduating from Poughkeepsie High School in 1980, I moved to New Haven, Connecticut where I graduated from Stone Business School. In 1981 I married my best friend James A. Williams. Our favorite daughter Nakeya was born on our Anniversary three years later.

Over the years I worked for New York State, United States Postal Service and IBM.  At the ripe old ages of 56 and 58, I earned Associates Degrees from Dutchess Community College with honors distinctions in both Liberal Arts and Business Management. A few months after graduation my one-and-only daughter, Nakeya S. Williams (Emmerson) finally blessed me with a granddaughter. Kaela inspired me to learn how to crochet and sew, so I was able to make her some thangs. God is Good!

I leave lots of wonderful memories for my twin brother, David L. Roberts (Stephanie) and my sisters Poniisa Rabii (Renis), Vanessa Roberts, Lynette Patrice (Roger), and Alicia Robinson and my sweet & loving mother-n-love Almeta Williams of Sumter, S.C. I also leave behind my two best friends Anna Cherry and Virginia Duncan some close sister friends, 8 God Children, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and special nieces and nephews.
