Willie Mae Edwards, 70 of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away on January 19, 2021 at the Grand at River Valley in Poughkeepsie.  Born on January 17, 1951 in Cold Spring, NY she was the daughter of the late Wille C. Wright and Lela Mae Blassingame.  On August 15, 1993 in Highland, NY she married Bruce Leon Edwards who survives at home.  She was a member of the Jerusalem Temple in Bank Alabama, enjoyed sewing, playing the piano, crafting, going to church functions and reading her Bible and listening to Gospel music.

Besides her husband she is survived by her children, Troy Wright Sr, Kenny Palmer, Bambi Garcia, Blaire Sanders; daughter in laws Alyssa Wright and Tina Bishop; siblings, Sylvia Rousa, John Wright, Earl Wright, Alvin Wright, Charles Wright, Terry Wright, Beulah Woolcock, Minnie Wright, Anna Burris, Jacqueline Wright, Lessie Wright and Dawn Wright; 14 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.   Besides her parents she was predeceased her brother Willie C. Wright Jr. and granddaughter Lydia Faith Garcia.
