Albert Calvin Hayes, 67, of Miami Gardens, Fla. passed away on September 30, 2021. He was born on August 9, 1954, in Lois, SC to the late Albert D. and Della Mae Wooten Hayes. He attended Poughkeepsie High School and always followed his dream to be a trucker. Albert went to Browns driving school, he loved being on the road. He was employed with Naps/Capskill in Pompano Beach for 41 years. On July 25, 1996 in Miami, Fla he married Betty Fitzpatrick, who survives at home.
He loved fishing as a young man, he would take his mother and grandparents fishing when he had the chance. He picked up fishing from his parents. His plan was to retire and teach his grandson how to fish intending to sit at a lake or river all day. Albert loved football, he played at an early age up until high school. He was baptized and served the lord. He was a member of Hilltop Missionary Baptist Church, Rev Griffin Davis 1273 W. 30th St Riviera Beach, FL 33404.
Besides his beloved wife Betty Hayes (Fla.) he is survived by his daughters April Gardiner (Fla), Tiffany Davis (Fla.), Veronica Pine (Poughkeepsie), Tika Maddox (Fla.), Joy Hayes (Fla.), sons, Albert Calvin Hayes Jr. (Calf.), Donald Maddox (Fla.), nine grandchildren, a great granddaughter, siblings, Christine Hayes (Poughkeepsie), Lenora Hayes (Poughkeepsie) and Joshua Hayes (Poughkeepsie) and a host of in laws, nephews, nieces, and cousins. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brother Bobby Wooten and sister Emma Francis Hayes.
