Alice Eleazard,66 of Poughkeepsie, former longtime resident of Pleasant Valley, passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2021, at Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital from COVID complications. Born September 7, 1955, in Queens, NY, she was the daughter of Carolyn and Frank Viehmann. She was a graduate of Arlington High School and continued her education in Boston, MA, getting her degree in accounting. She held several jobs during her lifetime in the Poughkeepsie area including the DMV, Eden Park Nursing Home, Facilities Maintenance Corporation, and childcare provider for many friends. Her hardest, yet best, job was being a mom to her sons, James and Andrew, and longtime caregiver to her mother. She extended that caring role to many as a 4-H leader, creating lifetime friends for herself and her family.
She is survived by her sons James Eleazard and Andrew Eleazard, granddaughter Aaliyah Eleazard, sister Susan Skuza (Walter), nephews Tom Skuza (Amanda) and Charles Skuza (Randi Port). Alice was predeceased by her parents and her Stepson Louis Phillippe (Little Phil) Eleazard.
Cremation has taken place and the family requests donations be made to Make A Wish Foundation in memory of Alice. Arrangements are under the direction of Joseph J.
