Carlo Arco, 70, of Newburgh, New York, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2022 at
Vassar Brothers Medical Center with his beloved wife and family at his side. He was born on
April 19th,1952 in Turin, Italy and was adopted at six years old by Sam and Katherine Arco of
Trumbull, Connecticut.
He entered into the family business of Automatic Plating in Bridgeport, Connecticut and then
opened Bridgeport Classic Cars. He then relocated to New York in 1994 where he met and
married the love of his life in 1995. He spent his later years working at Torsone and Darrow’s
Funeral Homes as well as Poughkeepsie and Morning Star Ford. Carlo enjoyed life to its fullest
and loved interacting with all that he met. He had a particular fondness for animals especially
his beloved Diora.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Carla Jean Arco. He is survived by his
wife, Debra Arco of Newburgh, NY; Claire Arco, his first wife, daughter, Dana Arco; grand-
daughter, Jada Moses all of Connecticut, brothers Joseph Arco of New Hampshire, Angelo and
Tony Iuppa of Sicily, and sisters Francesca, Serena, and Clementine Iuppa of Sicily, and many
cousins, nieces, and nephews. The family is forever grateful to John Battersby Campitelli for his
invaluable support and assistance in helping to unite Carlo with his biological family in Italy.
This brought him much joy and comfort in the last years of his life.
Interment will be private at the request of the family. Arrangements were under the direction of
Joseph J. Darrow Sr. Funeral Home, Poughkeepsie.
