Deatrice (Dee Dee) Hart lived a blissful life before “going up yonder”, as she would say, with her Lord and Savior on February 5, 2019 after a sudden illness. She was 55 years young. Deatrice was born on April 11, 1963 in the Metropolitan Hospital in Bronx NY, to Isiah Harrell and the late Beatrice Hart. She completed her education in Utah at a local Job Corps. Deatrice later started her career at the Poughkeepsie Journal, until an illness caused her to go on long term disability.
Deatrice was a caring woman whom may have never said she loved you but sure did show it. She had no problem expressing her feelings. You would know if she had a problem because she sure expressed it. And that is the main reason everyone loved her.
Deatrice is survived by her father Isiah Harrell of Bronx NY; her one and only child Tacoya Hart of Ulster Park, NY; two grandchildren Faith and Jeremiah Lockley; four sisters Wanda & Anthony Williams of Greenville NC, Lessie Marie DeMary of Hoboken, NJ, Lillian and Clifford Dean of Garfield, NJ, and Pamela Hart-Deleon of Durham NC; six brothers, Alphonse Hart and Bridget Hart of Bronx, NY, Micheal Hart of Albany, NY, Douglass Hart of Fishkill, NY, Randall Lee of Brooklyn, NY, Ernest Lee of Durham, NC, and Rondell Harrell; Aunt Gloria Jean Doe of Ayden NC; 1 Goddaughter Tyvesha Fennell of Bronx, NY; best friend from childhood Marilyn Graham of Westchester, NY and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends .
