Donna Lynn (Neilson) Knapp

  Donna Lynn Knapp, 64, of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away on December 1, 2021. She was born on September 18, 1957, in Poughkeepsie, NY to Donald A. Neilson and Arden F. Tibbetts. Donna graduated from Franklin Delano Roosevelt High School in 1975 and worked as a secretary for the Town of Hyde Park Planning Board retiring on July 29, 2016. She was an avid cat lover, reader, and enjoyed listening to music. Donna adored her children and grandchildren. Donna was a very spiritual person and loved spending time with her family.

  Donna is survived by her two children; Jessica Knapp (John) of Sanford, FL, and Patrick Knapp of Poughkeepsie, NY., two sisters; Karen Runza (Jimmy) of Hyde Park, NY, Linda Hamill (Vinny) of Hyde Park, NY, four nieces; Cristina Scala (John) of Advance, NC, Ashley and Emily Hamill of Sanford, FL, Rebecca Klvana (Thomas) of Charleston, SC, one nephew; MSG Nicholas Neilson (Nana) of Weilerbach, Germany, two grandchildren; Joshua Betz of Poughkeepsie, NY and Kayleigh Betz of Sanford, FL.

  Donna was predeceased by her brother; Brian Neilson, her father; Donald A. Neilson, her mother; Arden F. Tibbetts Neilson, grandparents and great grandparents.

  Visitation is Sunday, December 5, 2021, 12-3PM at the Joseph J. Darrow Sr. Funeral Home 39 So Hamilton St Poughkeepsie, NY 12601 845-452-1840.
