Louise Jackson departed this life on Monday, August 30, 2021, after a long illness with her loving family by her side. Louise was the youngest of eight children born to the late Robert and Eula Mae Jackson on February 27, 1960, in Poughkeepsie, NY. Se was educated and graduated from Poughkeepsie High School. She worked at Occupation, Inc., in Middletown, NY for many years as a Residential Counselor IV where she cared for those of special needs. Louise enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. She was a big-hearted person and always had a lending ear for those who were going through troubled times. No matter what she was facing in life she always had that bright smile and warm felt hug. Life, Love and Jazz was her compassion.
Louise leaves to cherish her loving memory her lifelong partner, Athanasius A. Roberts Jr. of Poughkeepsie, NY, her three children: Sondrea (Keith) Lanchester-Rodney of Poughkeepsie, NY, Larry Williams III, of Atlanta Ga., Dwyone Williams of Poughkeepsie, NY, step daughter Colleen King, four sisters Betty J. Pierce (Horace/deceased), Magdalene (Rufus) Williams, Eula Mae Jackson, Mandy Jackson all of Poughkeepsie, NY, one brother Robert (Mary) Jackson of Columbia, SC., 14 grandchildren Rekiesha, Reginald, Diamond, Styron, Jordan, Kaleah, Larry IV, Paige, Yahmoria, Dwyone, Tamara, Sisiena, Dwyonna, and Anaise and three great grandchildren, Shamuria, Maukese and Ahmirand and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers Rufus Rockwell (Poughkeepsie, MY) and Frank Jones (Sylvester Ga.)
Visitation will be held on Friday September 10, 2021, from 10am to 11am at the Beth-El church of God and Christ, 91 Hooker Ave. Poughkeepsie, NY with going home services beginning at 11am.
